| Pick Your Job and Land It! was written shortly after the Great
Depression of the 1930's, when jobs were really hard to come by. It provides
numerous examples of how important it is to have focus when looking for a job and how the
enthusiasm and clarity that comes with focus will often help a job applicant win a job
over other seemingly more-qualified candidates. The advice the authors gave about
getting a job when jobs were tough is equally applicable to getting the best job when jobs
are relatively plentiful by historical standards.
We especially recommend reading Chapters 2 and 3.
Note: Pick Your Job would not be considered politically correct today in terms
of being sexually neutral, but please do not let that detract from the valuable messages
this book contains.
